Though I was really sad when my grandfather passed away, he did leave me his most cherished possession - his car.  Now, it wasn’t anything special, but it turned out to be my first car, and I took care of it as he would have wanted me to.

But, that was six years ago, and grandpa’s car is getting close to the end of its life.  It is costing more and more for repairs and I want to get rid of it before it dies for good.

So, I tried last weekend to trade it in at some places that sold used cars in Weatherford.  All of them didn’t want to touch my car as there was no resale value.  They all tried to sell me on the cars that they did have in stock, but all I really wanted was to get some sort of trade in for my car, so I passed on their offers.

I am going to try to see if the car dealers in Fort Worth are a little more accommodating this weekend, and hopefully I will have a new car to drive to work on Monday.  Otherwise, I guess I will just have to hope that his car can hold on long enough so that I can save up a little more money to buy another one.
